LEDGER GROUPS (LGs)

The PAO has 17 ledger groups headed by AAOs. Out of these LG 15 exclusively deals with Maintenance of manual IRLAs in respect of TA personnel and civilians and Auditing and passing TADA claims in respect of embassy and IMTRAT units.

Rest of the LGs maintain computerized IRLAs. The main functions of these sections include maintaining the IRLAs, despatch of quarterly statements of accounts to the units, attending to complaints and DO letters received from the units and Record office, maintenance of DO Part II Order files, issue of LPC for deputation cases, final closing of IRLA and AFPP fund account of Regular discharge cases, local discharge deserter and death cases, noting of FAMO in the IRLAS and clearing the rejections received from the computer section.
